After a two-day journey into space, the Russian freighter Progress MS-22 has arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) with two and a half tons of supplies.
In addition to food, there is now fresh water, fuel and new equipment for scientific experiments on board the ISS, space agency Roskosmos announced on Saturday in Moscow.
Soup, coffee and nuts as provisions
The cosmonauts received soup, meat and fish, as well as juices, milk, tea and coffee. There were also dried fruits, biscuits and nuts.
The cargo was launched on Thursday from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in the steppes of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Central Asia. One can only hope that space has also been found for the provisions – NASA specialists fear that the space station could soon become too small (see video above).
