Suddenly the two Norikers were startled and fled! While preparing a horse-drawn sleigh, a woman from Murau got between them on Sunday afternoon in Schöder (Murau district) and was run over. She had to be flown to Klagenfurt.
It should have been a nice Sunday ride in a horse-drawn sleigh in Schöder (Murau district): a 54-year-old from the district prepared everything around 1:20 p.m. with the two Noriker horses that are needed on the bridle. Her friend and her husband, who were helping, were tying the sleigh behind the horses they own.
Horses suddenly startle
Out of nowhere the horses were startled! Both Norikers went forward, causing the 54-year-old woman to fall. She was run over by the team and sled and dragged about 20 meters.
Woman flown to Klagenfurt
After the emergency doctor, the rescue helicopter had to leave: the woman from Murau had to be flown to Klagenfurt with injuries of undetermined extent. But she should have responded. The other two people and the horses were not injured.
