In Regau, a farmer has been the victim of a terrible accident. The 61-year-old was partially buried under his falling tractor. Thanks to a mobile phone, however, he was able to contact his wife, who immediately raised the alarm.
A farmer from Regau carried out forestry work alone with a tractor in his private forest around noon on Monday. While he was pulling the already felled trees out of the impassable terrain with the cable winch on the tractor, the agricultural vehicle suddenly flipped sideways.
Firefighters rescued the injured
The man was trapped in the area of the pelvis and his feet under the driver’s cab. Fortunately, he was able to call his wife on his mobile phone, which immediately started the rescue chain.
The 61-year-old was freed by the FF Regau and received first aid from the emergency doctor. He was then taken to the Salzkammergut Klinikum Vöcklabruck with serious injuries.
