On the Gaislachkogl in the Tyrolean region of Sölden, unknown winter sports enthusiasts collided twice with their toboggan run on a ten-year-old Dutch woman on Wednesday evening. The girl was seriously injured. The two men drove on without attending to the wounded.
At around 7:40 p.m., the young holidaymaker drove down the “Gaislachkogl” toboggan run in Sölden on a rental toboggan run. “In the middle of the toboggan run, on a straight, an unknown tobogganer was riding the ten-year-old’s toboggan run,” police said. As a result, the girl fell and hit her head against a wooden guardrail. “The second luger involved also fell, but did not attend to the injured luger and continued without disclosing his personal information,” the executive said.
Man bumped into injured girl
While the Dutch was being tended to by uninvolved sledders and relatives, an unknown sled driver collided with the already injured ten-year-old from behind. This tobogganer also rode on without worrying about the injured person.
“The two unknown tobogganers could not be traced until now,” the officials emphasize. One of them was a man in his fifties or sixties with a white beard. He was wearing an orange or red coat. The second tobogganer was also male and wore beige outerwear.
Vacationer taken to the doctor
After an initial treatment by the emergency doctor and the track rescue service, the ten-year-old Dutch woman was taken to the doctor on duty with serious injuries.
Witnesses to the accident or anyone who can provide information about the two tugs that escaped the driver are requested to contact the police in Sölden (059133/7108).
