After a visit to the Nazi concentration camp in Auschwitz, Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger (75) warns in a video about the attraction that can emanate from discriminatory ideologies and racist conspiracy myths.
In the clip published Monday, Schwarzenegger describes his impressions of a recent visit to the Nazi death camp at Auschwitz. He asks his audience, “How can we prevent this from ever happening again?”
In his own words, the actor mainly focuses on those “who may have already stumbled in the wrong direction, on the wrong path”.
“I want to talk to you if you find yourself thinking that someone else is inferior to you or is attacking you because of religion, race or gender,” said the former governor of California.

He recalled that hate-based movements such as the Nazi regime, the South African apartheid regime or the American Confederation always lost. “Throughout history, hate has always been the easy way, the way of least resistance,” Schwarzenegger said.
It was always easier to find a scapegoat for a problem than to make things better yourself. “But to be clear, you will never find success at the end of this path.”
