Wild scenes played out on Wednesday in a company in Lermoos in the Tyrolean district of Reutte. A German (34) attacked his Bulgarian colleague (32) with a cutter knife. This had to be operated on. The handcuffs clicked for the 34-year-old. The motive is still unclear.
According to the police, the brutal attack took place around 11 a.m. The 34-year-old pulled out a cutting knife. He aimed this at the neck of the 32-year-old. The cut is about 25 centimeters long and three centimeters deep. “Due to the severity of the injuries sustained, the victim was flown by rescue helicopter to Reutte District Hospital, underwent emergency surgery and was admitted to hospital.”
Motive still unclear
Meanwhile, the German fled by car. However, only minutes later, the police were able to arrest him in his apartment. He declined to comment on motive. The hearing will take place on Thursday in the presence of his lawyer. Further investigations follow.
According to the doctors, the Bulgarian was not seriously injured.
