A 36-year-old had bad luck, who was on the road with his paraglider at dizzying heights in Fraxern (Vorarlberg) on Wednesday. The parachute collapsed and the man had to make an emergency landing.
The 36-year-old paraglider pilot started his flight from the Hohe Kugel on Wednesday at 3.30 pm. The fun didn’t last long though, as the right half of the paraglider collapsed immediately after takeoff and the pilot had to make an emergency landing.
Finally, the 36-year-old ended up with his umbrella in a pine tree in Fraxern, where he got hopelessly tangled. Because he could no longer free himself, he alerted the emergency services.
Rankweil’s mountain rescue team and a police helicopter eventually arrived to remove the man from the tree. The mission was completed successfully, the pilot was unharmed.
