Two young paramedics were slightly injured in an accident with an ambulance in the Puntigam district of Graz on Thursday.
Another accident involving an ambulance has occurred: EThe 59-year-old was driving his company car north on Rudersdorfer Strasse and was about to cross the Puntigamer Strasse/Puchstrasse intersection when an ambulance drove into westbound Puntigamer Strasse with a trailing horn and blue lights. The 42-year-old driver failed to stop the vehicle at the red light intersection.
Crashed at an intersection
At that moment it came to a collision between the two vehicles. The 59-year-old’s vehicle was hurled into a car parked at the intersection and came to rest lying on its roof. In the ambulance were a 19-year-old paramedic and a 19-year-old paramedic. Both sustained minor injuries and were treated at UKH Graz. The other people were unharmed. The professional fire brigade of Graz was deployed with eight men and two vehicles.
