A fatal accident happened on a ski slope in St. Johann im Pongau (Salzburg) on Saturday morning. A 61-year-old Styrian was killed, a 13-year-old Frenchman was seriously injured.
The accident happened near a runway crossing, according to police. Shortly before the valley station of the Strassalmbahn, the man and boy collided.

The 61-year-old from Murau district died despite immediate first aid at the scene of the accident. The 13-year-old was flown with the rescue helicopter seriously injured to the hospital in Zell am See.
The exact cause of the accident is still under police investigation. Authorities are currently looking for witnesses.
