“To improve the effectiveness of ‘swap’ lines – a support mechanism between banks – in providing dollar-denominated funding, the central banks that already offer these transactions have decided to increase the frequency of seven-day transactions. increase from weekly to daily,” the ECB said in a statement.
The entity led by Christine Lagarde praised the swift intervention of the Swiss authorities in favor of financial stability by approving the acquisition of Credit Suisse by competitor UBS.
