Because an 18-year-old came across the main road in Schladming (Styria) on Monday, three collisions with a trailer, car and motorcycle followed with serious consequences: three people had to be taken to the clinic with serious injuries.
An 18-year-old from the Liezen district was driving his car on Monday on the federal road B 320 Ennstal in the municipality of Schladming when he suddenly came into the oncoming lane. He hit an oncoming semi-trailer truck with a 37-year-old Croat at the wheel.
Three people were seriously injured in the accident
Unfortunately that was not enough: he then collided with a car belonging to a 76-year-old from the Liezen district and then with a 30-year-old motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was thrown from his machine and seriously injured himself.
The 18-year-old himself was seriously injured, just like the 76-year-old driver. Fortunately, his passenger (also 76) suffered only minor injuries.
Cause of accident still unclear
They were all taken to the clinic in Schladming. The scene of the accident had to be closed off for an hour, 17 Florianis were deployed. It is not yet known why the 18-year-old ended up on the other job.
