Two injured – driver under drugs: car thrown into stream

Date:

A car was thrown from the B83 in Carinthian Arnoldstein over a pile of earth into a forest and then into a stream bed. Driver and passenger suffered minor injuries. An ad for driving under the influence of drugs follows.

A man from Klagenfurt drove his car on the B83 in Arnoldstein towards Italy on Wednesday afternoon. The car left the roadway at an intersection and turned over a mound of dirt into a wooded area or creek bed.

The 36-year-old and his passenger (33) suffered minor injuries and were taken to the LKH Villach.

The car was a total loss. It had to be lifted out of the stream bed by the volunteer fire brigade of Arnoldstein with a crane truck.

An alcohol test at the wheel came back negative, but he was under the influence of drugs. The driver’s license has been taken from the man for the time being, he reports.
