The Austrian Documentation Center for Political Islam is sounding the alarm: religiously motivated groups are spreading extremism through social networks. Subscribers are young people in German-speaking countries.
They call themselves “Generation Islam”, “Reality Islam” and “Muslim Interactive”. These groups reach the entire German-speaking area via platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Twitter. “Muslim Interaktiv” already has over 1.9 million views on TikTok with over 80,000 followers, “Generation Islam” has 69,000 followers on Instagram alone. The Documentation Center for Political Islam examined the video messages.
