A construction worker caused an argument between a 47-year-old and a 46-year-old man in Vienna-Donaustadt on Friday morning. The 47-year-old allegedly accused the 46-year-old of poaching his construction workers. In the course of the dispute, the 46-year-old eventually threatened to kill the other. Since the younger man legally owns several guns, they have been confiscated by the police.
The 46-year-old was also given a temporary gun ban, police said. The dispute broke out Friday morning at a construction site on Erzherzog-Karl-Strasse in Donaustadt. The 47-year-old man came to a police station in the afternoon and reported the 46-year-old Austrian on suspicion of serious coercion.
Multiple weapons found in home
The officers then drove to the suspect’s home address. Searching the apartment, police found three long guns, three handguns and some 4,700 rounds of ammunition. The 46-year-old was taken to a police station and released after questioning. The police are investigating on suspicion of serious coercion.
