The Neufeldersee in Burgenland was the scene of a serious diving accident on Saturday. According to the State Security Center (LSZ) Burgenland, two men – aged 60 and 45 – had to be taken to the state hospital and university clinic in Graz at noon.
The divers had to be taken to Graz with the helicopter “Christopherus 16” and the intensive care transport helicopter (ITH) because there is a pressure chamber there. According to the police, the emergency was said to have arisen when the men showed up. However, there are no more details about the accident.
In addition to the helicopters, according to the LSZ, the Red Cross and the Samaritan Federation, each with an ambulance, as well as the water rescue service and the police, also had service.
