Shortly before midnight on Monday, a 23-year-old Syrian collapsed in a residential building in Salzburg-Schallmoos with a life-threatening stab wound. The suspect previously grabbed a knife during an argument and stabbed his younger opponent in the back. In addition, a 32-year-old would have tried to hit the victim with a flashlight.
A witness wanted to help the injured man, but the 34-year-old stopped him. The alleged perpetrators fled before police arrived and drove off in a car.
Aggravated assault investigation
Cobra special forces and the Rapid Response Forces arrested the brutal duo at the 34-year-old’s home address. Investigations into the motive and facts are ongoing. By the way, these are executed for intentional grievous bodily harm and not for attempted murder.
The 23-year-old was collected by the rescue service and treated in hospital. He is now out of danger.
