Since mid-November last year, there has been no trace of a suspect who pushed a 76-year-old down an escalator at Vienna’s main train station and stole the victim’s wallet shortly afterwards. Police have now published mugshots of the unknown and are asking for information.
The robbery in Vienna-Favoriten causes horror. After pushing the pensioner off the escalator at Vienna’s main station at around 7:30 p.m. on November 18, 2022, the suspect fled with his wallet and simply left the 76-year-old lying there.
Later, according to the police, he would have withdrawn cash twice with the stolen credit card. He probably didn’t expect to be filmed with it. The investigation into the case is still ongoing.
