Because previously unknown perpetrators shot a cat with a bow and arrow during the Easter weekend in Carinthia, the animal fled to an adjacent piece of forest, according to witness statements. An arrow got stuck in the hind leg. The animal was found badly injured.
According to a group member of the Lavattaler Tierhilfe Facebook group, the injured cat was seen in the St. Andrä area next to a gas station. “The arrow was still in the leg and broke all the bones,” the member said.

The arrow was then carefully removed by the vet. “The cat is on a long road to recovery. Let’s hope for the best!” added the finder.The suspects have not yet been traced.
