Deadly fire in Vienna: Fire broke out in an apartment in the Floridsdorf district on Tuesday evening, resulting in a large-scale operation. In the rooms, the emergency services found the occupant of the apartment, a 79-year-old. She was brought to safety, but her injuries were too serious.
The emergency services were alerted around 6:40 p.m. A large contingent left for the Ruthnergasse. Wearing respiratory protection, firefighters entered the burning apartment and found the 79-year-old woman motionless. They took the victim to a smoke-free area and immediately started CPR. But the attempts were in vain, the woman died.
