With a fake letter to 500 Lower Austrian landlords in the name of the FPÖ, the satirical portal “Die Tagespresse” generated huge amounts of crumbs. A landlady initially thought it was real and reacted angrily. Therefore, she was probably far from the only one in the industry who initially had no doubts about the authenticity of the letter.
With a forged letter to 500 innkeepers, the satirical portal “Die Tagespresse” has “breaded” the state FPÖ well. To achieve the new inn premium, controls on the “breading quota” were announced – as reported – and German food names such as “Andreas-Hofer-Schnitzel” or “Gabalier-Fleischlaberl” were required. This cynical reaction to the black and blue government flirtation, which excludes kebap stands and the like, was taken seriously in some establishments.
“sad years” for restorers
“That can’t be true, that’s completely idiotic, that’s what I thought at first,” restaurateur Franziska Nathaniel from St. Veit an der Gölsen in the Lilienfeld district believed provisionally in the letter. After many completely misguided actions by domestic politicians in recent years, she wrote an angry letter to the editor.
Tax for future financial support!?

The Tax and Customs Administration has checked us twice to find out that we will get back 1000 euros more. And we had to pay taxes on the Corona turnover replacement before we got it!” She thinks it’s unfair that only traditional inns get the bonus: “The others work just as hard.”
