The average price of electricity for customers with a regulated tariff connected to the wholesale market will pick up this Sunday 16.72% With regard to this Saturday, a maximum of 25.41 euros per megawatt hour (MWh). However, this price will be the third lowest for one day so far in April and it will also be zero euros for seven hours. Specifically, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the electricity price is zero euros/MWhwhile the maximum price is given between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., at 127.85 euros/MWh.
The average price of electricity so far in April is up €58.79/MWhmore than three times lower than the EUR 213/MWh recorded in the same month last year.
The so-called ‘Iberian exception’ has been provisionally extended to the following December 31after the agreement that Spain and Portugal reached with the European Commission.
