LAB demands an end to industry uncertainty
With regard to the accident, LAB has demanded an end to the uncertainty of the transportation industry. As they have already remembered from the union In 2023, 16 employees will have died in an occupational accident.
Just a few weeks earlier, they reported the death of another carrier in an occupational accident while transporting cargo for the Arcelor company. “The transportation sector is one of the sectors most affected by the scourge of occupational accidents,” explains LAB; actually last year 11 carriers died in an occupational accident.
For this reason, they have assured the union that they will not tire of “reporting work accidents due to poor working conditions and the lack of prevention and safety measures“.
“We must end uncertainty. We must end the bosses’ impunity. The institutions cannot continue to look the other way, otherwise they become complicit in what is happening,” the union concluded.
