The city archive research of traffic areas with names of accused personalities in Wels is now available to the “Krone”. Werner Retzl, head of the Wels Initiative Against Fascism, comments on the research results for us.
The report from the city archives about contaminated street names in Wels town hall has been circulating for almost two months, but is kept secret from the public. It is now in favor of the Welsh initiative against fascism and the “Krone”. Antifa boss Werner Retzl flipped through – his balance sheet: “The historical facts about the accused personalities have generally been correctly described. But what consequences should a democratic community draw from this? As the city of Linz shows, it is certainly not enough to to place a few extra signs.” He calls for a clear signal against anti-Semitism and contempt for people: “It can only be the renaming of several streets!”
