236 young people choose one of the 100 BEINT business internationalization scholarships

The training plan is divided into 3 phases that combine theoretical and practical knowledge within a period of 24 months. In the first phase, the fellows receive a university education, which is given in collaboration with the three Basque universities.

236 young people (128 women and 108 men) choose one of the 100 BEINT Business Internationalization Scholarships that the Basque Internationalization Agency of the SPRI group has convened for the period 2022-2024. Among the candidates, 150 are from Bizkaia, 59 from Gipuzkoa and 27 from Álava.

During the day this Saturday the candidates undergo a selection process at the BEC In this process, knowledge tests of the use of Basque, English and possibly a second foreign language (German, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, French, Italian, Portuguese and Russian) will be carried out. The exam also includes psychotechnical tests and a general socio-economic knowledge test.

The first 100 candidates with the best scores are BEINT scholarship holders, and will start from 1 July with the first training phase in the university environment. The fellows are then assigned to one-year office assignments abroad and finally, between January and August 2024, the fellows complete their training with a company internship.

The Basque government started the process of training specialists in internationalization in 1986, and today it has become an important scholarship in the university field.

The BEINT training program

The training plan was drawn up in three phases combining theoretical and practical knowledge within 24 months.

The first phase consists of: four-month university education designed with 14 areas of knowledge. This training is given in collaboration with the three Basque universities.

In the next phase, which lasts 12 months, fellows will: the opportunity to choose a foreign destination to continue with on-the-job training The training program is completed with the third phase, in which: fellows have 8 months of practical experience in companies with foreign implantation and preferably Basque, selected by the trainee himself.
