Terrifying scenes only occurred at a primary school in Vienna-Hietzing at the end of March. An unknown man approached and molested a girl on her way home. Fortunately, the child was able to run away. On Thursday morning there was another similar incident in the same neighborhood, where two girls were harassed by a stranger just before primary school.
Parents of the primary schools involved received a letter from the school management on Thursday calling for attention to the incident: “Just to be on the safe side, I would like to inform you that there has been an incident for the US in which two girls were approached by a stranger.” The stranger had stroked the backs of the two 2nd grade girls shortly afterwards. As the two ran off, he got into a taxi and drove off.
Gray hair and white pants
The two students immediately contacted their parents and the school board. A report was also immediately made to the police near the school. The suspect was wearing white pants and a hat at the time, had longer gray hair and spoke with an accent.
“Of course our teachers warned all children on Thursday. Please also discuss with your child how they should behave in such a case,” the parent letter from the school management continues. So far there has been no trace of the suspect.
Several incidents since the beginning of the year
Similar incidents have also occurred in Penzing and Ottakring since the beginning of the year. Two 11-year-olds were approached on their way to school and asked to get into a car. In the Ordeltpark, a perpetrator wanted to drag a boy by the arm. He just managed to escape.
In February, an unknown two children tried to lure into his van on the Flötzersteig. On the same day, he allegedly grabbed a girl’s arm. Fortunately, he was able to free himself and run to a supermarket.
