On Thursday evening there was a brutal robbery of a 20-year-old in Styria. The police are now asking for information about the perpetrator.
Shortly before 02:00, the young man wanted to get cigarettes from a vending machine in Kapelstraat (Gries district). Suddenly a car stopped nearby and a man got out.
Attackers drew knives
He immediately went up to the 20-year-old and punched him in the face. The victim dropped his wallet and cash, which the perpetrator immediately grabbed. When the attacked man fought back, the assailant pulled out a knife and stabbed him several times before fleeing the car.
The 20-year-old suffered minor injuries to his face, abdomen and hand during the attack, received first aid from the rescue service and was taken to the Graz regional hospital. Police are now looking for the perpetrator and are asking the public for help.
The police ask for information
The perpetrator drove a dark Audi A3 (three-door) with LB license plates. He may have been injured in the face in the attack itself. The man is said to be about 1.70 meters tall and between 18 and 21 years old. He has short hair, no beard and was wearing dark clothing at the time of the crime.
