Three ambulances, including the chief of operations, the police and the professional fire brigade, rushed to Salzburg’s Rudolfskai at 1:48 p.m. on Sunday. A small car had overturned near the Mozartsteg.
The vehicle stopped on the roof – right in front of a busy pedestrian crossing. The paramedics had to provide medical care to five people and transport them to the state hospital.
Accident caused traffic delays
A traffic jam quickly formed around the important traffic axis of Salzburg. This caused considerable delays in the city center, which also hindered the arrival of the emergency services. The cause of the accident is currently unknown.
