A drunk resident (61) caused a collision on the Fernpass federal road in the Tyrolean municipality of Heiterwang on Sunday. Three people were taken to hospital with injuries. The 61-year-old’s driver’s license was confiscated.
A day after a collision between two drivers – one victim died after the accident in hospital – another head-on accident happened on Sunday afternoon around 12.20 p.m. on the Fernpass national road, just three kilometers away near Heiterwang: according to the police, a local motorist (61 ) entered the oncoming lane in a right turn and collided with the car of a German (62) and his passenger (63).

All three people escaped with minor injuries and were taken to Reutte hospital. An alcohol test on the 61-year-old showed that he was heavily intoxicated. His driver’s license was provisionally suspended.
