The Basque Institute of Statistics, Eustat, points to a “slight year-on-year slowdown” of the economy of the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV), although “the evolution remains positive”.
The Gross Domestic Product of the BAC increased by 0.4% in the first quarter of the year compared to the previous three monthsand has been positive for 11 consecutive quarters.
Taking into account first quarter of the year 2022GDP, for its part, increased by 2.2%.
He employment opportunities, measured as full-time equivalent jobs, increased by 0.3% in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the previous quarter. Compared to the same quarter of last year, a growth of 1.5% is estimated.
Eustat this Monday released the progress of its quarterly accounts for the first quarter of 2023, information to be expanded on June 2.
