A brutally stabbed woman and an uninvolved man killed in a head-on collision when the alleged perpetrator attempted suicide – two days after the insane act (we reported) the shock is still deep in Graz. At the scene of the accident and in front of the house of the 39-year-old, witnesses candles of the drama that claimed two lives on Saturday.
The suspect is in a coma under police guard
A 28-year-old from the district of Steyr (Upper Austria), the partner of the murdered 39-year-old, is said to be responsible. When he fled in his BMW, attempted suicide and collided head-on with an oncoming car, the suspect was seriously injured. Since then he has been in an artificial deep sleep in a hospital under police guard. According to the police, the 28-year-old could not be questioned on Monday. “It is not yet foreseeable when he can be woken up and questioned,” says police spokeswoman Johanna Paar. So far, the man is not on the file with the police.
The woman’s autopsy has now confirmed the obvious: the 39-year-old died of numerous knife wounds, which also entrapped vital organs.
