Many myths surround the person of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Kremlin has again attempted countermeasures, dismissing the latest rumors of double play. It was said that the president could not be represented in public appearances.
“You’ve probably heard that Putin has a lot of lookalikes who work in his place while he’s in a bunker. That’s another lie,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told youths at an education event in Moscow on Monday.
“You see what kind of president we have. He was and is very active. We who work with him can hardly keep up with him.’ Theories about one or more Putin doppelgängers continue to surface, most recently in view of a visit by the Kremlin chief to Russian-occupied Ukrainian war zones.
“That wasn’t the real Putin”
“That was not the real Putin,” Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of Ukraine’s National Security Council, said last week. The Kremlin rejected this statement even then. There is not even evidence that there is actually a Putin lookalike on official dates.
