The Basque government and the city council have signed an agreement to start up an intelligent electric bus system in the city with a budget of 25.7 million euros.

The Basque government and San Sebastian City Council signed an agreement this Monday to promote the city’s first smart electric bus line with nine electric buses The Dbus line 17 (Gros-Amara-Miramon) It will be the first Smart Electric Bus (BEI) line.
Line 17, 15 kilometers long, connects the Gros and Amara districts, with the hospitals and the Miramón technology park.
The project is part of a protocol for smart mobility in the city, signed between both institutions and the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council in 2018, and estimates a budget of €25.7 million VAT included for its preparation and execution.
The estimated duration for the development of the project is four years.
