Two Romanian citizens cheated on their employer and stole 18 televisions. Since then there has been no trace of them.
The two young men (22 and 19) worked as drivers for a delivery service and were to collect 38 televisions from a company in Spittal an der Drau on Wednesday. However, they only scanned half of the devices when they picked them up.
Van found via SIM tracking
“After the perpetrators failed to return the vehicle to the delivery company in the evening, the owner performed a SIM location,” the police said. The van – with the key in the ignition – was at the former home address of the suspect in Salzburg.
perpetrators are already gone
There was no trace of the perpetrators, who no longer have a place of residence in Germany, and of the 18 missing televisions. The car owner’s mobile phone may also have been stolen by the perpetrators, police said. The police are investigating. In total, the two televisions worth several thousand euros were stolen.
