The Ginzling mountain rescue team was called up on Sunday for a somewhat unusual mission. A girl found her cat in a forest where the animal had climbed a tree and couldn’t get out without help.
The animal rescue operation took place in a forest in Ginzling (Schwaz district). There, the mountain rescue team was alerted after the eleven-year-old owner learned that the cat was probably stuck in a tree. The cub had been missing for several days. Only a climber became aware of the four-legged friend.
The girl then informed the local manager. Together with another colleague, he climbed the 15-meter-high tree with a crowbar and was finally able to free the little cat from his predicament – much to the girl’s delight, of course.
