After a woman was sexually assaulted by an unknown person at Villach main station last year and last week’s robbery of a tobacco shop in Klagenfurt, the police are now publishing photos of the perpetrators and asking for useful information.
Already on October 2 last year, a woman from Villach was followed by an unknown person at Draustadt’s main station in the early hours of the morning. “The man grabbed the woman by the jacket, hit her and grabbed her breasts and genitals,” said a police officer.
A train conductor who saw the coercion immediately intervened, causing the perpetrator to flee. A short time later, the 41-year-old – this time accompanied by her husband – encountered the stranger again. “He denied the crime and fled again,” said a detective. So far there is no trace of the man.

The police are now also publishing police photos of the perpetrator of the robbery that took place on April 24 at a tobacconist’s shop in Klagenfurt in which a previously unknown person stole a significant amount of cash.
The police are now asking possible witnesses to provide useful information about the two cases to the criminal department of SPK Villach under the number 059133-263333 judgements.
