Vandalism left a trail of destruction in Schwarzach (Vorarlberg) on Monday. Now the police could clear things up.
Gesticulating aggressively and cursing loudly, a man ranted into the parish church of Schwarzach on Monday morning. He threw a bottle of red wine he had brought with him against the main altar. Two altar lamps fell to the ground and the masonry was soiled.
Perpetrator already found
Thanks to a video recording in the church, the police were able to track down the perpetrator. This one, a 51-year-old Czech, was clearly recognizable. The police inspectorate Taxenbach arrested the man. There is a restraining order against him.

The 51-year-old is also suspected of breaking into several basements of an apartment building in Schwarzach. He allegedly stole spirits and groceries and destroyed the cellar compartments.
