The City Council of Bilbao approved today in its weekly meeting of the Board of Directors the places that will be included in the public offer of work (OPE) of the current financial year 2023. The figure is 114 free places and another 24 from internal promotion.
As for the use of Basque, of the 114 open opposition positions, 91 will be compulsory, that is, they will be accompanied by linguistic profileand compliance and accreditation will be the same mandatory requirementand the remaining 23 are not mandatory.
Likewise, 4 places will be allocated for people with disabilities. In this way, the 2023 OPE exceeds the 2% of the total workforce allocated to this group, making a total of 52 positions out of the 2,466 that the municipal workforce has.

The proposal for the 114 positions includes: 59 positions for municipal officials; 3 firefighter; 1 technical administrator. General; 2 architects; 1 engineer; 1 veterinarian; 1 agronomist engineer; 1 drug technician; 3 technical architect; 1 social worker; 1 company nurse; 12 administrative; 3 draftsman; 1 company inspector; 1 library assistant; 1 laboratory technical assistant; 1 IT technical assistant; 1 automotive technical assistant; 9 trade officers and 11 subordinates.
Of the 24 for internal promotion, 22 are First Agent and the other 2 are Fire Corps.
