A car overturned on the Rheintalautobahn (A14) in Vorarlberg on Thursday morning. The 42-year-old driver lost control of the wheel due to aquaplaning and collided with the concrete center partition wall. The woman was injured.
The 42-year-old was on the A14 towards Tyrol around 8 a.m. At Lauterach, her car skidded due to aquaplaning and crashed into the concrete center partition wall. The car overturned in the serious accident and remained on the roof.
Courageous rescuers freed the injured from the wreckage. She was taken by ambulance to the state hospital in Bregenz. In any case, no alcohol was involved in the accident. An alcohol test for the 42-year-old came back negative. The accident left only one lane open towards Tyrol, leading to early traffic delays.
