A serious accident in Lassing ended today with serious injuries to the driver and passenger: a 32-year-old had gone off the road with his car, the car collided with the guardrail, was catapulted backwards and rolled over.
The man from the Liezen district drove east on the L 740 around 3:30 p.m., with a 39-year-old from the same district in the car with him.
The course of the accident is still unclear, the consequences are fatal
How exactly this happened must first become clear, so far it is unclear why the car suddenly left the road and crashed into the guardrail on the right. The consequences were fatal: the vehicle literally flew back onto the road, flipped over and came to a stop in a meadow.
Witnesses immediately received help, the rescue helicopter flew the seriously injured man to the UKH in Linz. The passenger also suffered injuries of undetermined extent, the Styrian was taken to Rottenmann regional hospital. Only a wreck of the car remained. The volunteer fire brigades of Lassing, Döllach and Selztal came into action.
