Nobody still knows why there was oil on the roadway of the B139 in Leonding (Upper Austria): an innocent driver (60) from Traun skidded his car around 7 p.m. on Tuesday and crashed into a concrete pillar – injured in hospital.

A 60-year-old man from the Linz-Land district steered his car on the B139 from Pasching towards Linz. In the municipality of Leonding, the man skidded for unknown reasons with his car. The vehicle first came off the left side of the road into the adjacent greenbelt, collided with the front of the vehicle against a concrete pillar, was flung back onto the road and further into the guardrail on the right side of the road. road where the vehicle came to a stop. The 60-year-old was injured to an undetermined extent in the accident and was taken to the UKH Linz by the rescue team.

Flying parts damaged the car
A 25-year-old woman from the Kirchdorf district drove her vehicle directly behind the man. An emergency braking enabled her to stop her car in time and thus avoid a collision. However, the flying parts damaged their vehicle.

During the recording of the accident, a trace of oil could be seen, which did not come from the vehicle involved in the accident. Whether the trace of oil has a causal relationship has not yet been clarified.
