The G7 member states intend to approve new round of economic sanctions against Russia in the context of the leaders’ summit in Hiroshima (Japan).
The leaders of Germany, Canada, USA, France, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom and the European Union They will hold a summit in Hiroshima this weekend in which attention will again be paid to the situation in Ukraine and possible measures against Russia.
For example, in statements to the press ahead of the first meeting, a US official acknowledged that the G7’s latest efforts are aimed at disrupting Russia’s ability to obtain war material.
Similarly, the leaders have set themselves the target Closing loopholes that Russia is exploiting to evade sanctionsfurther reduce international dependence on Russian energy and restrict Moscow’s access to the international financial system.
Zelenski will travel to Japan to participate in the G7 summit
For his part, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskywill travel to Japan to personally participate in the G7 Summit currently being held in the city of Hiroshima.
“Very important things will be decided there and therefore the presence of our president is something absolutely essential to defend our interests and present clear proposals and arguments about the events taking place on the territory of our country,” said the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksi Danilov.
