Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (58) will become a father for the eighth time. “A new crew member will arrive in a few weeks,” his wife Carrie announced on Instagram.
In one photo she can be seen holding hands with her two first children, Wilfred and Romy. Wilfred is “really excited to be a big brother again and talks about it all the time,” said Carrie Johnson, 35. Daughter Romy probably doesn’t know what to expect, “but soon.” Wilfred was born in April 2020. Romy was finally born in December 2021 when Boris Johnson was still Prime Minister.
The following summer he was forced to resign after difficulties in his Conservative party over a series of scandals, including partying in Downing Street during the coronavirus lockdown. While Johnson is still a Tory MP, he is rarely seen in the House of Commons these days.
Married for the third time
He is married to Carrie for the third time. Boris Johnson has four children with his second wife, lawyer Marina Wheeler. Another daughter comes from an extramarital affair. With Carrie, a former media adviser to his party, he now has child number three. In total, this is the eighth child for the former British prime minister. It wasn’t until September 2021 that he had confirmed he had six children after years of speculation about the exact number.
