The swimmer sought by divers from the Upper Austria fire brigade in the Ausee was found because a person was considered missing after jumping from the 3-meter board.
Shortly after 4 p.m., five fire brigades and the rescue divers were sent to the Aussee in Luftenberg. A missing person was being searched for.
According to the first reports, on the first sunny, hot Sunday of the year, someone jumped from the 3 meter high board into the still cold lake and never surfaced again. Unfortunately, the hope of the rescuers that it was a false alarm and that the person concerned had reached the shore unnoticed, has not been fulfilled. After about 45 minutes, the wanted person was rescued from the lake.
The helpers are currently fighting for the swimmer’s life, who is being resuscitated on site by the rescuers. We will report as soon as there are new developments.
