The President of the General Council for the Judiciary (CGPJ) has canceled the extraordinary plenary meeting convened this Wednesday to assess the salary increase judges and prosecutors had agreed with the Spanish government, following the withdrawal request that yesterday by the members asking for the same.
In this way, as the CGPJ reports in a note, the CGPJ has convened the Ordinary Plenary Meeting for Thursday 25 at 10:00 am, the agenda of which includes an item reporting the members who have represented themselves to the CGPJ in the Remuneration Table of the agreement reached.
Last week, all associations of judges and prosecutors, except the Professional Association of Magistracy (APM) — the majority and of a conservative bias — reached an agreement with the ministries of Justice and the Ministry of Finance to prevent the strike indefinitely and accepted the offer of 46.7 million euros, which translates into about 450 euros more per month that will be applied to the entire race.
The official signing of the pact will take place today, Tuesday, at 1 pm at the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice.
