Fatal accident in the Tyrolean Oberland: On Monday, a bus slipped on a dirty and muddy road and collided with a car, which then fell over an embankment.
At around 1:45 p.m. on Monday, a 30-year-old Austrian drove a bus through Hochgallmigger Landesstraße in Fliess. When he noticed the oncoming car of a 34-year-old Austrian, he braked the bus.

The bus skidded on the muddy and sand-covered road and hit the car. The rear of the car was pushed over the shoulder and then slid about 20 meters up a steep embankment, where the vehicle then came to a stop.
Mother and son were flown to hospital
The woman and her five-year-old son, who were in the car, were not seriously injured in the accident. They were able to free themselves from the vehicle and were flown by rescue helicopter to the hospital in Zams. In addition to rescue and police, the Landeck voluntary fire brigade was deployed.
