The allegation of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman at a gas station in Amstetten in Lower Austria turned out to be a false statement by the alleged victim. The suspect was acquitted. The young woman is now facing charges herself.
“I don’t want that. Stop it,” the 19-year-old is said to have shouted. Free. Her boyfriend threw her on the hood of a car at a gas station in Amstetten in mid-February, pressed her down and groped her. Now the 32 had to year-old to answer for the court in St. Pölten for sexual assault.
The suspect denied all charges. It was an innocent “test of strength”, a funny banter.
Witness bursts into tears
“It’s absolutely no fun for me,” the victim replied. But then the young woman became increasingly entangled in contradictions and was warned several times by the judge to tell the truth. “The way you describe it, he must have had five hands,” says Mrs. Rat.
When a friend on the witness stand tearfully admits her false testimony, the house of lies collapses – the Mostviertler is acquitted. The alleged victim is now charged with giving false testimony and inciting false testimony.
