Terrible accident Wednesday morning in the Tyrolean Zillertal: An eight-year-old boy who wanted to cross the street behind a stationary bus was hit by a car and was seriously injured. The student was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The devastating accident happened shortly after 07:00 on Hochfügener Landesstraße in the municipality of Fügenberg. To get to the bus stop across the street, the eight-year-old wanted to cross the road directly behind a bus parked on its side at a bus stop.

The boy was hit by an uphill vehicle and thrown onto the road. He suffered serious injuries to his head and face, police said.
After first aid at the scene of the accident, the student was transported by ambulance to the Schwaz district hospital.
