Maria Luisa Arriola is the general manager of Bic Gipuzkoa, a company founded in 1993.

BIC GIPUZKOA acts as a facilitator in the process of creating new innovative companies, as well as an active agent in the process of support and promotion entrepreneurial culture in Gipuzkoa.

The director of Bic Gipuzkoa Maria Luisa Arriola defines the company in this way, “We are a public capital company and we are a team of technicians committed to supporting innovation. Helping people who want to start a business, a center that closely matches the specifications promoted by the Basque government”.

Currently About 5,000 people work in this sector, of which 47% are women “In general, the presence of women in this sector is very noticeable today. Generations of women are involved, especially in the development of complex projects,” explains Arriola.

Since its foundation in 1993, it has become an important engine of regional development with sufficient capacity to anticipate, adapt and respond to the specific needs of new entrepreneurs and businesses in Gipuzkoa.
