Four people died in the terrorist attack in Vienna, dozens were injured, some seriously. On November 2, 2020, IS supporter Kujtim F. shot at passersby in the center of Vienna. The 31-year-old – now suspect – would have supplied the weapons for this.
“When the suspect found out who the weapon eventually ended up with, namely the murderer, he was horrified,” said the defender of the Slovenian in the grand jury court in Vienna. According to the indictment, on September 25, 2020, he handed over a Tokarev pistol to Adam M. — an assistant to the Viennese hitman who had not been convicted.
Charged with gun violations
With this weapon, shooter Kujtim F. killed, among others, four people during the terrorist attack in Vienna. The prosecution has accused violations of the Weapons Act – he illegally possessed and passed on weapons and ammunition. He does not have to answer to the Viennese regional court for his participation in or complicity in the bloody act of November 2.
He can also no longer be prosecuted for handing over the assault rifle that Kujtim F. also used in the attack. On this point, the proceedings against the Slovenian were wrongly dropped. The error should have been noticed by the judiciary just a few days before the main hearing …

The defendant did not know the Viennese killer at all. He only had contact with Adam M., the fifth defendant in the terror trial, to whom he also handed over the gun. “I know Adam. For a total amount of 2,000 euros, the 31-year-old handed over the gun and ammunition to Kujtim F’s helper, who was not convicted. “I’m so sorry. If it were possible, I would undo this act,” the suspect says to the judge.
For these violations of the gun law, the 31-year-old is sentenced to nine months in prison. The repentant confession would have been an important reason for the punishment.
