The employees of the companies that received the Osakidetza cleaning service have been on strike for 93 days to demand the extension of the contract and the payment of the professional career.
The trade union ELA has decided to extend the strike of the workers of the companies that awarded the Osakidetza cleaning service “at least” until June 18 because of the blockade of the negotiations.
The trade union organization ELA has announced in a press release that it has decided to extend the cleaning strike in Osakidetza, following last Tuesday’s demonstration in San Sebastián.
Exactly this Tuesday marks the 93rd day of the Osakdietza cleaners’ strike. As ELA recalls, the workers have been without an agreement for more than five years, demanding payment for their professional careers, but “negotiations are completely blocked,” the union said.
“The Ministry of Labor and Osakidetza have no will to solve this problem, and in agreement with the employers, they are blocking negotiations on race payment,” the union said.
